Race Car with Steering 5 Stars *****
This is the Race car with Steering made by MINDSTORMERS INC. (RCWS) The RCWS was RANKED #1 OUT OF 15847 PROJECTS!!!!!!!!!!!The RCWS can go really fast and has front steering, as well as looks (Picture 1). It also has a trunk (Picture 3) , but the trunk is really for hiding the wires in the back because it looks really weird if you just leave the wires just stickin' out. The wheels are on gears and that is why they go so fast. The gear ratio is the biggest gear in the MINDSTORMS NXT 2.0 Kit and the smallest one, so, yeah. The two Touch Sensors on the front are bumpers, as well as 'headlights' that don't light up ( Picture 2). I actually changed the two Touch Sensors and put on 1 Ultrasonic Sensor indstead. The RCWS also has a Color Sensor at the bottom, but I will show yo that at a later step. idkwhoyouare gave me the advice to put more weight on the back wheels, so that they would have more grip. That is why I put the NXT Brick on the back instead of the front. The NXT Brick is connected by a few axles and more stuff (PIcture 4). As you can see in the 5th picture that the RCWS looks epicly awesome (Picture 5) I tried to model it after a Hummer. I think it is a pretty close match. PLEASE COMMENT!!!!!
Porsche 911 C4 With AUTOMATIC Transition
This my second entries in to the NXT car building challenge. As you can see I used many pieces from the Supercar mainly the plating and red Technic bricks. this model has an automatic transition that uses no motor, the way it works is when the tension is high for the first gear (1:3) it will switch to the second gear (1:1.05) (Really close to that but not 1:1) and if that is to high then it will go to the third gear (2:1). The video is really to see my stop motion (it is not that good I have a really bad camera) but you get to see some photos and a few videos (I wish I could have more but it ran out of battery.) The turning system is a 3:1 gear ratio (8 tooth spinning 24) and the power functions motor is attached to the 8 tooth gear spinning the 24 clutch gear ( New to me) so when it turns and the power functions motor is still going ( it is really not accurate) it won’t suffer damage. The looks features are like the spare tire, all around shape, the one angle back side, EXTREMELY DETAILED FRONT, engine with pistons, shocks, lights, steering wheel, and many other things. The front it very slimmer and I realized that after I build it. IT IS MY IDEA I did not use instructions on it I did like how it looked so I tried to make it that way but really not that close. The shocks are the same no different (you can’t change them) there is only one way they can work I did change the position of the spring and I add one more to the back. The engine it is supposed to be in the back but I build this model front to back and in the front I was making a modern car but in the back it looks like it has some sort of engine so that works out. This is an old car so the design is not as popular but I really wanted to make this because it is so stunning. i really like the automatic transition and i give credit to YT (I did not copy it) but it did help me. i think i will have to make two projects one for this and the other for the program. I said this was going on YT and i might make a different video but I don't know idk hope you read this idkwhoyouare.
Portable Skidder.
This is the Portable Skidder. This is my first submission in the Crazy Contraption Challenge. It is called that because it is portable, and because it is the part that picks up stuff of the Skidder. Usually, Skidders only pick up logs, but in this one, it will (not including the things it can not pick up) pick up anything. But wouldn't it be easier to pick it up yourself? Of course it would. But if you're a Rube Goldberg kind of guy, then you are a complicated man or woman. Okay, so, the Portable Skidder can pick up, for example, your shoe, an orange, or a glue stick. It can NOT pick up, watermelons, your sibling (although it is fun to try. It ends up being a jaw that will really annoy your siblings), or a table. The Portable Skidder, or P.S for short, has a n Ultrasonic Sensor, a Color Sensor, and a Touch Sensor. There are four programs that I have made so far. 2 of them use only 2 sensors, 1 of them use only 1 sensor, and 1 of them use all 3 of the sensors. The first program is if the Ultrasonic Sensor sees something less than 10 cm away, it will close its "jaws". Then it waits until the Touch Sensor is pushed, and whenever it is pushed, the robot assumes you have brought the item to the the desired location (occasionally over your siblings head) and tells the motors to open the jaws up. The second program does the same thing, but the Color Sensor waits until it see a lot of brightness and then shuts. The third one is the same, except it uses the Touch Sensor and waits until that is pushed. The 4th one is the most exciting. P.S waits until it sees something closer than 10 cm and then the Color Sensor waits until it sees something bright and then closes the jaws. The robot then waits until the Touch Sensor is pressed and when it is, it opens it jaws and then loops the program again. Thank you for reading all this and please vote for this robot. Range Rover V2 Mindstormers, Inc.
This is my first entry in to the NXT car building challenge and a long awaited one. That idkwhoyouare, MySnailEatsPizza, nxtstep101, and NXTesla made if you have any questions ask or go see nxtstep101 for more info and look at our challenge. Because I am a judge I will get three votes on me and the judges WILL READ THIS WHOLE THING right... Yes. So here I go. This project has one thing in common with it brother Range Rover the frame, the frame it the same for the most part. This car has a four motor engine but this uses 9 motors (4 PF. 5 NXT.) The way this is RC is because when the two smaller PF motors turn they hit the touch sensors so each motor can hit two touch sensors. Now I will go into detail this is 4-5 pounds! It has two battery packs two NXT's 9 motors and lots of pieces to make it heavy. It has front shocks and very details seats. Now what are the Big Pf motors for see the things on the side ( bottom orange look like steps to get in to the cab) well you can use it like that or you can use them like that are supposed be used for and that is emergency high efficient breaks. Let’s put it this way this is an off-road car and by its nature it will go down steep slopes so not to break my differential gears I have these high efficient breaks and they work by digging in to the ground. The turning mechanism is not like a real car and that is because 1 no steering wheel and 2 because the motor attached right to the wheel shaft gives it a higher than normal torque. This has many different details like chairs wheel guards front bumper steering wheel spare wheel and WIND SHIELD WIPERS and other cool things. The NXT can control the emergency breaks with the Irlink but I have it remotely controlled. As you can see the back wheels have two wheels; that is because it gives a higher grip. I will enplane this all in even more detail in the other sections. (I copied this off the NXTLOG.)
Jack: An NXT Dog project 4
The reason why I'm entering this in the crazycontraption contest is because he helps you have a pet even if you can't / don't have one so here is his description Jack is my latest and GREATEST Mindstorms Dog EVER. As you can see Jack can walk, bark, wag his tail, eat colored balls and tell what color they are and meany more tasks.Jack has six motors four for walking one for the mouth and one for the tail. Jack is a giant over one foot high one foot wide and two feet long he weighs nine hearty pounds. The things I will talk about are the feet, head, tail, body, belly and chest. His feet are molded after my dog Molly a White Lab as you can see his feet are made to grip the ground and to dispense the weight evenly. His toes move like a real dog and they adjust to the ground surface. the four motors individually control the legs so he can walk. The head is no masterpiece but I think it looks like a real dog it has two eyes that are gears a nose and a movable mouth. The mouth can bite and if you put a ball in it can tell what color it is. The teeth are made to look like a real dog and so are his ears. His belly is made up of one NXT and made to look like a real belly sloping up just like a real dog. His back has all of the motors and a NXT in it. The back is strait like any true loving dog which slopes in to the tail. The tail can go up and down but." The tail is built in to the dog to look as real as possible. The chest has an ultrasonic sensor built in and the NXT is the bottom part. Jack even has his own collar! Jack took me 12 hours to build he used over 2000 pieces! And looks like a real dog! I will post a video and more So hold on tight.

Hurricane: Machine gun Tank project 2
Hurricane is my second project my first project is the Mindstorms Crane. Hurricane has six motors three for the machine gun two for moving and one for extras like the claw, tow cable, "the grabber" or a place to put your ultrasonic sensors to look up and down. The next thing the shooter on 100 power it shoots four to five bullets per second that's close to 260 bullets per minute. If you have seen the things with 20 bullets per second they have four shooters and I have one but it`s the same. The shooter holds 20 bullets and that`s good for four to five seconds. The claws on the front (see pic.3) have very high torque witch can be used for grabbing in the dirt or for sumo wrestling and even "Battle Bots." The wheels are tracks from LEGO Education and from the MT-61-Crystal reaper and the shape of the tracks looks like the MT-61-Crystal reaper (pic.4) but bigger. The two sides are the exactly the same. it has a top speed the same as if you were walking. The tracks are able to turn in place because of the rubber bands. "WAIT DID YOU SAY RUBBER BANDS?!" yes I said rubber bands they help you to get lots of traction on wood and on snow. I also built a snow plow for snow. Rubber bands are a great idea they work great. The bottom is built for rechargeable or nonchargeable batteries. The bottom is one inch above the ground good for outside but not on soft ground. The bottom is built to hold the two sides close. The light sensor is built for a cool program you have a lazier pointer and you tape in is side your door and have pointed at the light sensor on the other side you have the Hurricane when someone goes in to your room they cross the lazier and it sets of the Hurricane a fun program. I can make instructions but they will be lots of photos. I will talk about all of the parts of the tank So hold on tight.
Mindstorms Excavator
The reason why I'm entering this in the crazycontraption contest is he makes the perfect sand box helper and he is a crazycontraption. “Hello there I'm here with idkwhoyouare and his latest invention the Mindstorms Excavator. As you can see we are here at Lego City Down Town area where we are building a new school's foundation. Our latest machine is our new Excavator towering at two feet high and one and a half feet wide. I am hoping to tell you about the arm, grabber, treads, arm moving gear box and the guide rails. To give you a quick run thorough the arm has a pushing power of a few pounds the way it is made so the motor suffers damage at all and won’t stall. The only down fall is that the amount of toque after a point won’t help it grab harder but it can sure pinch your finger. The arm is an EXTREME challenge it wasn't too hard but getting it stable and the right angle but I think it worked out nicely. The treads where very inserting because I was beat after building the arm and I was almost going to keep it as an arm like a crane but I remembered that I must put it on and then I tried to build it from the bottom of the arm another not very smart thing by me. So I finally got it to work and it was perfect. The gear box was very good how it turned out but it took forever I'm really happy how it turned out but the whole arm has minimal pushing power but that doesn't matter unless you are in the dirt. John: A NXT Humanoid project 5
If you have a question on anything about Mindstorms I will be happy to answer PLEASE COMMENT! John is my first humanoid ever. He can pick up stuff carry it somewhere and drop it he can do many things that I will talk about. He has 1200 pieces three hours build time the thing that went wrong with my old robot is that I built his arms first I'm low on pieces so I might add treads and finish him up. I'm happy how he turned out but he can’t walk so that is the only down but he can move. I've done many things and I had him on a gyro sensor so he can balance but he couldn't pick up stuff. I had one experimental robot he was a self-balancing robot but he wasn't up to my standers and some people would disagree like (Dominospizza you may comment on his) he told me at school but my standers are my standers. John can move his arms up and down switch his finger position (with his thumb or you can do it) he can close his thumb he can drive turn see and more. John is very fun to have get stuff for you and he drives fast his arms are made smooth with a 1.7:1 ratio I think that's how it goes tell me if I’m wrong. I made his head then arms then body last SIX different legs but they didn't work so I used wheels over all I think I should work more and if I make a lot better I will post it! IF YOU HAVE A GOOD LEG IDEA HELP! Please! He is my first humanoid so he can be better. I hope you like reading about john I will talk about his parts in detail so come see!

Mindstorms Helicopter!
Hello, I have come to give the latest and GREATEST MINDSTORMS ever; The Helicopter. (Random Guy) "Wow you’re such a loser, posting a helicopter and that doesn't fly!" WAIT! It can fly! This has been modeled after the Sea King and it looks a little like it . Ok here is a little talk about it: the main parts are the main rotor, the tail boom, tail rotor, chassis and the canopy. I'm sorry I have to build a CrazyContraption for the contest so I won't talk much here but you will get it all. I will tell you how it flies. I looked how a real heli flies and modeled the wings after that with the lower air pressure it can fly. It has a very high gear ratio so it has enough speed. Understand ever since Daedalus (did i spell it right?) fashioned wings of feathers and wax for himself and his son Icarus(Why would you want the name?), humans have yearned to master powered, heavier-than-air flight. In the early 20th century, a few daring inventors turned the dream into reality by designing and building flying machines that actually lived up to their names. Everyone knows the story of the Wright brothers and their famed flight across the dunes of Kitty Hawk, N.C.(I live here NC), so we won't dwell here on their accomplishments or how airplanes work. Instead, we want to focus on a lesser-known personality -- Igor Sikorsky -- and his vision of the modern helicopter: an aircraft without wings that achieves vertical flight from the rotation of overhead blades. Some facts: -That if the engine stops, the helicopter rotor continues to spin allowing the machine to slowly land, generally without crashing to the ground.-Helicopters are safest to fly in bad weather because they can slow down, stop and/or fly backwards or sideways.- Over 3 million lives have been saved by helicopters in both peacetime and wartime operations since the first person was rescued from the sea in 1944.-There are more than 11,000 civil helicopters operating just in the U.S. and more than 15,000 civil helicopters operating in more than 157 other countries around the world. -If you include military helicopters it is estimated that there are more than 45,000 operating worldwide. - Helicopters can be flown across oceans if additional fuel is made available or in-flight refueling is employed. -The Jesus nut that holds the main rotor to the shaft got its name because pilots said, “Oh Jesus if that nut comes off.” these are some stuff I learned thank you please read the other stuff and COMMENT!

Scorpion Tank Mindstormers inc. HELLO NXTLOG the scorpion tank. This tank has four treads and a moveable turret. I used four motors three NXT and one power function I could of had the power functions motor hooked up with the IRlink but I decided it would be cool to have a RC feature. The parts I will talk about are the Turret, Armor, treads, And the video Maybe Skeletron. This tank has armor of lego gray plating 360 movable turret Allterrain the only problem is the cords they get stuck but this tank is AWESOME Thanks to Han-solo-ninja for the idea. And mindstormers is a Inc. made by skeleton325 that me and him decide to join and make one. Fast Lego Dragster With Steering
This is a very fast Lego dragster. It has a gear ratio of 1:5 and it has no differential (for the drive) the reason why it that the gears would break in the differential and adding it would be hard. But that doesn’t mean it can't "Have one" because it does. the way it works the two driving motors are hooked up to ONE wheel each so that means that each wheel can spin at a different speed and if you know how a differential works (I Do thank you very much rastoo I spelled your name wrong on purpose) That the inter wheel when the car is turning it will spin slower than the outer because it has to cover less distance then the outer. So when turning you can program the outer one to spin the same and the inner one to spin slower. So there you have it a differential without a Differential Weird hum... Yeah. Ok some about this model I wouldn't say this is that good at all but it has very small front wheels, much bigger back wheels and a back "thing". It also has the V8 engine from the Super Car. Some fun things are like the door that has a lock and opens and the cockpit with the steering wheel. It even has Decals on the side they are supposed to be fire. And even how inserting the turning even though if you think about it is really simple. Also the shape is pretty cool and the NXT looks like it is floating in Technic parts.
